Excuses, excuses

22 Apr

Oh my goodness. I have been a bad bad blogger this week. Not “bad” in that lurid kind of, oops–I did it again! way, or bad in that “oh yeah, I’m BAD!” sense of the word, but just “bad” in the literal sense. As in, not good.

I was gonna blog everyday–that was the goal. So, what happened?

Monday–No blog! Tuesday–well, I blogged. So, no recriminations there. Wed. No blog! Thurs. No blog!

I think I owe the kind people who take the time to read my blog an explanation.  What happened on those days I didn’t blog?

Monday–um, I don’t really remember. I might have been “in a mood: because I was feeling kind of grumbly about the weekend being over.  Don’t really recall the weekend either, so….not sure.

Tuesday–must have been a good coffee day. Blogged! Check!

Wednesday–I started a blog but kind of trickled off. Petered out, if you will… (That expression made me laugh when I was 9 years old and I am still not mature enough to hear the phrase “petered out” without giggling like a child…) Even though the blog (tee hee) petered out, I have the saved draft.  So, in case you’re interested, here is what you missed:

wha ?

That was pretty much the blog for Wednesday. You might see why I didn’t post that one. It still needed a little work. It was several revisions away from being coherent the blog I wanted it to be.

Thursday, I also started to blog. Well, I started to type at any rate. I know this because I seem to have another saved draft. This saving of incomplete and abandoned blogs is apparently an automatic thing because, seriously, I don’t remember pressing any buttons.  Here’s what you missed:

That would be Thursday’s blog.  Don’t ask me to explain. I’ll let is speak for itself.

Why am I having such a problem with this morning blogging thing? Apparently I need a stronger blend of coffee. Or, perhaps, coffee is no longer doing the trick. Maybe I should just switch to something stronger.

Does anyone do cocaine anymore?

If the coffee isn’t doing it, maybe I should be kinder to my muses so they’ll come around more often. Especially in the morning. Is there some sort of Muse bait one can purchase?

In my defense, I’ve had a busy, out of the ordinary week. It kind of wore me out. But it was all work related and I don’t like to write about my job.

On a different note, I finished my round of anti-biotics–the ones I was taking after the cat bit the crap out of my hand 10 days ago. The good news is, I am much better and I still have my left hand. I am really glad about that. I use that hand a lot. Fortunately for the cat, I did not use that hand to wring her little neck. Despite our disagreement, I decided to be the bigger person because, well, I am literally the bigger person. She’s pretty little. And she’s not a person.

I’ll be courting the muses over the weekend and be back to blogging on Monday.

Happy Friday!

Ha! I love this blog about not blogging!

And it has been 10 days already? Time files when you are having fun, and even when you are not having fun.

Yep, we both have had an “interesting” week. Maybe next week thing will settle down. Let’s hope so.

    Happy Friday back at you!

The crazy week at work ended well. Whew! Here’s to a better week ahead and a fine weekend in between!

That’s right blame it on the cat. The muses are staying away because the cat bit you and they can’t cope with a cat bite. The fact that, after a while, there is not much to write about is as good an excuse as any so I can see that as a good excuse. Personally I just like hearing from you.

I like hearing from you too, my friend!
